Copywriting Services

As a freelance medical copywriter, my processes are intended to bring ease into your life.

It’s perfectly normal to have questions throughout our work together. But tension headaches and stress? Nope.

My work will bring a sigh of relief to your work. You start to see tangible results and I will feel great about flexing my writing skills for quality providers that do meaningful work.

HERE’S HOW IT WORKS.

The Process: Step by Step

We’ll touch base on a phone or Zoom call to go over your goals. I’ll ask questions like:

  • Where are you at with marketing in your business right now? What are your goals for this quarter, for this year?

  • Have you worked with a copywriter (freelance or agency) in the past? What went well? What didn’t?

  • What is your budget for the work you want done? (Hint: my rates are posted to my site so there’s no mystery around money before we talk).

  • Whose site do you really love? What style of writing among your peers resonates with you?

I’ll share more about the work that I do and answer any questions that you have. If things seem to be clicking, I’ll suggest we do a short test project together (such as 1-2 blogs, a newsletter, or a landing page). The test project is not required, but it’s usually a good idea. We both get the opportunity to make sure the other one of us is not a complete whackadoodle before investing a lot of time and money. (Kidding. Kind of.)

Step 2: Proposal

If things go well with the call and the test project, I’ll send a detailed proposal to cover all of your content marketing goals. Usually, the proposal offers a few choices in case you change your mind about your budget or decide you want to tack on social content with your monthly blogs, etc.

You’ll review the proposal, ask any clarifying questions, and make any necessary changes. We’ll land on a final scope of work, which leads us to step 3 - the contract!

Step 3: Contract

Having a contract in place ensures we both know exactly what to expect on what date and for what price. (The NDA gives you peace of mind!). I have my own contracts that I use, but I am happy to work with your legal team if preferred.

Step 4: Get to Work!

Voila! We are all set. I get to work delivering premier copy and content that revive your passion for your practice because you’re finally getting good sleep again now that you’re not up til 11 or 12 or 1 or (you get it) trying to handle your own marketing.

I am a niche copywriter in more than one way.

  • First, I write copy and content in the medical field. While I branch out for the right client and right project, I primarily work with practitioners and leaders in the rehab field.

  • Second, I specialize in long-form writing. I absolutely do emails and ads and newsletters, but my bread and butter is blogs, eBooks, white papers, guides, case studies, and website copy.

Here’s what to expect in my work:

search engine optimization services

Search Engine Optimization

to boost your rank in Google and make it easy for your clients to find you. Optimizing your content means you will show up in search results and your pages will answer the specific questions your clients are asking. Strategic keyword research includes data that tells you what people are searching for, how many people are searching for it, and the format they’re wanting to digest that information.

(Some of you are reading this reading right now because Spainhour Copywriting showed up on the first page of Google when you searched for “rehabilitation copywriter” or “rehab copywriting” or “medical rehabilitation copywriter.” This is how SEO works.)

Scholarly Research

to back up every piece of content associated with your business. This is especially important for your white papers, eBooks, guides, and blogs. Credible sources with proper citations are critical when developing your authority in your field.

Formatting

that makes your content easy to read!  Headlines and H1, H2, H3 headers are optimized to draw clients in and keep them reading. Everything is visually appealing and easy on the eye for those who read every word and for those who skim. Projects are delivered to you through Google docs with all the heading in place for ease of uploading on the backend of your website. FYI: you need a copywriter and a web designer who understands how formatting is important for visual appeal and SEO purposes.

to ensure the content is what your customers want and need to hear. We decide on topics together. If you have a specific blog series or white paper in mind, great! I’m on it. If you need help determining the direction for the quarter ahead based on current trends in PT (for example), I will offer you suggestions.
